On the bright side... it's always exciting to learn something new ;)Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04550692601943778577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4728987043673829071.post-90012000476619701202008-02-28T17:52:00.000-08:002008-02-28T17:52:00.000-08:00Hi Mary,Fun to see all those waterfowl in one plac...Hi Mary,<BR/>Fun to see all those waterfowl in one place but frustrating when you don't know what they are. I'll agree with Kathie's IDs on all of them, but the Mandarin Duck was the only one I knew without looking it up.RuthieJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11663411478574192825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4728987043673829071.post-64779476071784625052008-02-27T04:10:00.000-08:002008-02-27T04:10:00.000-08:00Mary, thanks for visitng my Blog. The redheaded duck is not a redhead; their bills are gray, but according to Kaufman's Bird Guide it may be a Red-crested Pochard, native to Eurasia. The other duck looks like it may be a Mandarin duck, native to China. Looks like you had fun, regardless if you knew their Kathie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377224759599266209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4728987043673829071.post-7184368343790327632008-02-26T17:33:00.000-08:002008-02-26T17:33:00.000-08:00Ruth and Ocean - thanks for stopping by. Still, it is nice to see them.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15892804871759397018noreply@blogger.com
