A New Mexico sunset

There are so many great opportunities to see beautiful sunsets in New Mexico. While visiting the Bosque del Apache during the Festival of the Cranes (Nov 17-22, 2009) there were a couple of beautiful sunsets. Here is one worth sharing. You can click on each of the photos to enlarge them.
Note the sandhill crane flying in this photo. I think this one is my favorite of the three photos here.
And this one I was trying to get what is called a "sun dog" where there is a rainbow of sorts in the clouds.

those are so beautiful ... Bosque d"Apache is on my "must visit" list, and think it may have moved up the list a little.

Hola Mary,
Such beautiful sky! It is amazing how much beauty we can find on nature, isn't it?

Hi Wren - thanks for the visit and comment. I will add that Bosque del Apache is a photographer's paradise as well as a birder's paradise. Anyone who visits will not be disappointed. And I'm sure that is true in spring, winter and fall.

Hi Mel -- I certainly agree that there is much beauty in nature, if one takes the time to look around. And it's a lot of fun to share it with others who appreciate nature's beauty.
