Announcement

Welcome to my blog. Those of you who regularly read my posts will notice that my blog has a new look. The new look has been designed by my daughter, Red (aka Heidi). I hope you like the new look. I think Red should consider being a graphic designer, don't you? But she really loves her job as office administrator at the church where we are members.

Red did a great job! I love it! I need someone like her to help me. Was it just a matter of upgrading your template in Blogger? I need to try it.

Mary - go to my daughter's blog - http://mmatm.blogspot.com and you can see her latest post with a link to Red's Themes. I think you can just click on the words Red's Themes. She'll be more than happy to "customize" something for you.

For those folks who are interested in getting a "customized" look to their blog scroll all the way down to the bottom of my blog and you will see a link to Red's Themes as well as a link to Red's profile.

Thanks Mom!

Mary, Thank you too! It wasn't a matter of updating the template... it was a matter of playing with the "edit html" stuff.

If you're familiar with html or css then go ahead and play with it. If not, but you have a knack for languages, I say try it on either a test blog or in the middle of the night, lol. Otherwise, just go to my blog and my linking message board (http://redsthemestorage.yuku.com/) and I'd be happy to customize your blog for you.

Hey Mary, I like the new look too. You're fortunate to have Heidi as a blog consultant and adviser.

Cool new look.
And how great to have a talented daughter.
Especially one who goes by Red!

Thanks, everyone.

Ruth - my daughter is also trying to get me to be more html savvy. And I like to use the excuse that's what I have a daughter for. ;o)

Wren - thanks for visiting - and yes, my daughter has always been good with design. She has also managed to do interior design (her BS is in architectural studies), and now seems to do quite well with graphic designing, too. I am proud of her.

Ruthie - you are right about my being fortunate to have Heidi around to help with my blog design, etc. She has always been an artistic type of person - always has had a good eye to make things more appealing.

Tom - thank you! You pointed out exactly what I was trying to accomplish. I told Red that I needed a background that would be easy on the eyes to read and would also enhance my photos. So glad you like it, too.

Donna - only you would get to appreciate Heidi's nickname. I have to laugh about it though - she goes by the nickname "Red," one of my son's dogs is named "Redd," my son has (what's left of it) red hair, and Heidi has that beautiful color of strawberry blonde. So here's to all those "reds" who are so talented! :o)

Dorothy - I'm glad you like the new look, too. It's good to have you back. And if you should ever get to my neck of the woods, be sure to look me up.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the compliments.

If you are interested I posted in my blog the design process for this.

I did "create a link" here in mom's blog, but for some reason it's not showing up under the comments or under links to this post... odd... so if any of you see that, sorry for the double posting, lol.
