Making a comeback

Our temperatures have returned to normal, and the breeze is blowing from the bay and ocean. Hooray! Best of all, my red poppies are making a comeback. This is what I saw early this morning looking out the window. About 10-12 poppies blooming at one time. In the background are the yellow marguerite daisies.
Here is a close-up view of one of the poppies from this morning.
And here is a closer view of the yellow marguerite daisies.
And I thought you would like to see both kinds of marguerite daisies -- the plain yellow ones and the two-tone ones.

well, now we know the heat didn't kill those red poppies... just the petals of the already bloomed ones

The flowers in your last 2 posts are lovely. Nature is so resilient.

Hi Red - I'm sure glad the plant didn't die. Amazing how it is still putting out more blossoms, and more to come provided the temps stay normal.

Hi Ruth - thanks. It is amazing how resilient nature can be. We have found that out first hand. A couple winters ago we had a long cold spell (below freezing) and we lost a number of plants in our front yard. But a few came back, some which we didn't think would make a comeback.

Hi Donna - Thanks. It's something about the color of red that can really pop out at you.

Those poppies are beautiful! It must be great to have so many flowers blooming already this spring.
