June blooming lilies

The month of June continued giving us a variety of colors and plants in our yard. Here are my favorite photos of our lilies, all located in the front yard. Below, you can see among the daylilies that I also have a few calla lilies. I love calla lilies although the flowers are too short-lived. But they do stand out among the other more colorful daylilies.

Here is a view of the daylilies as they encircle our crape myrtle tree. The smaller looking flowers in the foreground happen to be our white trailing lantana.

And my Easter lilies surround the birdbath.

This week's "Easter" Lilies

Mostly known as Easter lilies - these are lilium candidum, otherwise correctly known as Madonna Lily. These first two pictures were taken on the 30th of May. I knew it would be a matter of days before they would be in full bloom.

These lilies are all located in my front yard where they get a southerly exposure.

This lily was the first to "pop" open.

Here is another shot of the first to bloom, with our birdbath in the background.
And these Madonna lilies are sitting along the pathway between the sidewalk and the front door. I took this photo on the 4th of June. Quite a difference from the 30th of May.
